(Well, that didn't take long!)
WE'VE CROSSED THE LINE!
Thanks to the incredible support of 24 backers, the Kickstarter campaign for The Severed Sky has officially crossed 100% of its $1,000 funding goal!
This is an amazing milestone, and I have to admit I am relieved that we made it! In planning this thing, I really wasn't sure which way it would go, but thanks to so many of you joining, sharing, or even just tolerating my incessant prattle, we made it!
Reality Check Time
Now for a bit of crowdfunding reality: as exciting as hitting that funding milestone is, a campaign isn't truly secure until it reaches the end, which for us is November 17th.
Life happens. Pledges may change. If we're hovering right at the funding goal, dropped pledges could take us back below the line. And hey, that's okay. Everybody's got to make the best choices they can, and if that means they can't maintain their pledge, that is absolutely what they should do.
So now the mission shifts to building a solid safety margin—and letting that momentum rocket us toward our very first stretch goal!
Early Bird Alert: If you haven't pledged yet, there are still a few Early Bird spots remaining across the physical tiers! You can lock in up to 25% savings and help secure our funding margin by claiming an Early Bird reward at theseveredsky.com right now!
The Backer's Choice Epilogue! ($2,000)
Now that our base goal is cleared, we start unlocking the extras!
When we reach $2,000, I will write a brand-new bonus epilogue that I'll include in all eBook, print, and audiobook editions of The Severed Sky—and every backer gets to vote on a scene for the new epilogue to explore!
Over the horizon, our $5,000 Professional Audiobook Narration upgrade is patiently waiting, and after that... it's a mystery! (I mean, not to ME, but I'm not telling!)
As always, I am so grateful that you're here and that you've patiently allowed me to throw myself at you these last few weeks. I hope you'll continue to stick with me as we keep pushing toward that next horizon—let's keep climbing!
