I've previously mentioned the [Crazy Kickstarter Math](https://www.matthewrasnake.com/crazy-kickstarter-math/) that was required to get this campaign off the ground—accounting for how production, freight, and fees all play together at every stage. To sum up: more funding equals more backers which equals more physical items which equals more shipping which *etcetera, etcetera*. It's **complicated**, but I had to consider **all of it.** The one thing I **didn't** anticipate was the outright generosity of the backers. Most pledged for their reward, a few added-on extra items, and some either donated above and beyond their reward tier or chose to simply donate *without* a reward. The number and amount of these was both unexpected and humbling, and I am very grateful. I am also exceedingly grateful to my mom and dad, and to my mother-in-law, both of whom made generous campaign donations **outside** of Kickstarter in honor of my birthday, which was this past weekend! Together, all of that generosity has enabled me to radically improve the **entire campaign** by making two of the previous "mystery" stretch goals part of the standard rewards, and by significantly lowering the remaining goals to bring them within easier reach. So, if you're still on the fence about backing, there are two weeks left and now's as good a time as any to get on board, *because*... Every standard (non-EU-only) physical reward tier will now also include a custom die-cut sticker with a design to be decided by backer poll! Also, every Deluxe Kickstarter Special Edition green cloth-bound hardcover will include not only a dust jacket, green marker ribbon, and green & black head and tail bands, but now they will include **custom endpapers** as well! And, *as if that's not enough*, I've lowered our first stretch goal—the **Backer's Choice Epilogue**—by $500, which means we're now only $76 away! Then, the goal that was **previously** our **highest** mystery stretch goal has dropped from $9,000 all the way down to $2,000! And finally, the professional audiobook narration goal—the *big prize* of this campaign for me—has also dropped from $5,000 down to just $3,500! I announced these changes to existing backers yesterday, and the changes are all already live. So, as I said before, if you've been on the fence, there's no time like the present! Go pledge, or go tell your favorite hard sci-fi fan, or both! Let's go lock in that new Epilogue! And thanks again to my generous backers for making these changes possible!
